Filaments In The Dark

The light was off. The room was black.

These weren't on anymore and yet.

Caught in the seconds after hitting the switch, filaments holding their charge like something unwilling to leave. No glow from above. No source. Just four hanging shapes burning quietly in total darkness, each one dimming at its own pace, each one doing something light isn't supposed to do.

You've seen a room go dark a thousand times. You've never watched it happen like this.
